Board of Directors

Hope Brown – Board President
Hope Brown has been involved with Pit & Balcony Theatre for almost ten years. She started on stage, part of an ensemble, fulfilled her first lead role, Charlotte in Charlottes Web, and even debuted as a director with James and The Giant Peach. Since then, she’s gone on to direct musicals, continue to perform on stage, and now sits as the President on the Board of Directors.
Hope believes theatre, music and art are a universal language and is one of the most beautiful ways for people from different walks of life to connect. Hope has been involved in the performing arts since the age of 4 and encourages everyone to expose themselves to the thrill of live theatre. Saginaw and the surrounding cities are lush with talented performers, stage managers and stagehands, sound and light technicians, set builders, charge artists, musicians, costume designers and artists of differing varieties. All of these different components are necessary for putting on a production. Without the dedication and passion for the arts from the community, we wouldn’t have the unique and diverse theatre we have today. Hope is proud to represent a theatre working toward representing its community; one of talent, creativity, diversity and inclusion. After all, art can and should represent everyone.
