Youth Advisory Council
The Pit & Balcony Youth Advisory Council (YAC) was founded in August, 2018. The YAC is group of inspired young people empowering area youth by giving them a voice, leadership opportunities, and furthering creative growth within their community. It is open to students ages 13-19 (entering Freshmen to exiting Seniors) and applications are currently being accepted on a rolling basis.

CLASS ACT I: Week Long Workshop - July 17-22, 2023
9am to 4pm Mon-Fri | 11:30am to 6pm Sat (for 12-18 years of age)
An intensive program designed to allow students ages 12-18 the opportunity to develop their dramatic skills and appreciation for theatre by experiencing every artistic facet of it and working to put on a play the final day of the workshop.

Mini Class Act One Day Workshop: July 22, 2023
12pm to 6pm | (for 4-11 years of age)
A one day camp for children 4-11 that will give them the opportunity to see a production, ask questions and partner with students from the older group for a short hands-on experience with several different design departments in the theatre. The children will be featured in the play that will be presented on Saturday.

CLASS ACT II: Week Long Workshop - July 24-29, 2023
9am to 4pm Mon-Fri | 11:30am to 5pm Sat (for 14-19 years of age)
Building upon the fundamentals learned in Class Act I, Class Act II is a more advanced, week long intensive focusing on the crafts of acting, directing, and producing. For ages 14-19, Class Act II students must have participated in Class Act I OR at least three school or community productions.
9am-4pm daily
One act plays directed by the students

"It's a Wonderful Life" comes to life live at Pit and Balcony

A Frank Capra movie classic comes to real-life this week and next at Saginaw's Pit and Balcony Community Theatre.
While the final dress rehearsal of "It's a Wonderful Life" was a bit sluggish in its overall pacing and had some tech issues with props, sound and sets, there is no denying it sports an excellent cast.
