How can I get involved with Pit and Balcony Theatre?

We’d love to have you join us on the stage or off. Audition as an actor or become involved as part of a production team.

Who can audition for a show?

All our shows hold open auditions and everyone is welcome Audition dates and information are listed under the Get Involved tab on the website.

Can I get on the mailing list for auditions?

You bet! Register your email address on the Contact page on this website. Also, please check the website often for any changes or updates

What time do the shows begin?

Curtain for Pit and Balcony Theatre is 7:30 pm for our Thursday, Friday & Saturday evening performances and 3:00 pm for our Sunday matinee. The box office opens one hour prior to curtain before each performance.

What are the prices of tickets (Seasonal and Individual)?

All Main Stage Tickets are $20 each
After Dark Tickets are $15 each

Flex Passes give you a discount on the general admission price and offer you the ability to use them for whichever productions you like!

Group, Youth, and Student Rush rates are only available by calling or visiting the box office at 989-754-6587 or 805 N. Hamilton St. Saginaw, MI 48602

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds for ticket sales. All sales are final.

Can I purchase tickets online?

We have an easy online ordering system. You may even choose your seats using this system. Tickets ordered online may be printed at home.  If you would like us to print your tickets and have them ready for you at the will call window, please let us know in advance by calling 989.754.6587.

The show is sold out! Is there a way to still get tickets?

We don’t want you to miss a show but many of our shows do sell out. The box office opens one hour before each performance. You’re encouraged to come to the box office to see if any tickets are available.

Do you accept all credit cards?

We accept, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

Can I exchange my ticket for another date?

There is a one-time exchange policy per show. You may exchange your seat for a different date for the same show at no charge. Additional exchanges will be provided at a $4 charge per ticket, subject to availability. Requests to exchange tickets should be handled by the business office during regular hours, Tuesday through Thursday from 12noon to 5pm. Any exchanges must be done before the performance date on the original ticket.

How many seats does your theatre have?

Pit and Balcony has 280 seats, but the number of seats available for each production varies depending upon how the show is staged. For some shows, it is necessary to remove seats to accommodate scenery or actors’ movements.

Are seats reserved?

If you purchase your tickets online or at the box office in advance of show time, seats are reserved. For our special events, seating can vary and seating may be by general admission.

Do you accommodate patrons with special needs?

Pit & Balcony offers wheelchair and companion seating and hearing assist. Wheelchair seating must be reserved through the box office at 989-754-6587. Please let the box office know if you have any special need at the time of purchase and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What if I’m late for a performance?

For all performances, latecomers will be seated by ushers during an appropriate pause in the performance as a courtesy to the actors and other audience members.

Is parking available?

Free parking is available on the street, adjacent to the theatre (Saginaw Machine Systems, Inc.), in a lot about one block north of the theatre (Valley OB-GYN) and in the rear of the theatre off N. Michigan and Throop.

Do you serve or sell food at the theatre?

Concessions are available in the lobby.

Can I take pictures or videotape a performance?

The photographing or recording of any performance is strictly prohibited.

Can I use my cell phone, electronic notebook or laptop at the theatre?

No, you may not. For the enjoyment of the audience and in consideration of the actors, we prohibit the use of any electronic device. Please do not text or use Internet services during a performance.

Can I bring my child to a performance and do I have to buy a ticket for him or her?

All attendees of our performances require a ticket for admission. Many of our shows are appropriate for youth. Please use discretion in choosing to bring a child. Children should be able to sit quietly in their own seats throughout a performance. Shows that contain adult content will list that in the show description. If you have any question about the appropriateness of a show for your child, please call the box office at 989-754-6587.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, we do! These certificates can be for a season or a single show and make great gifts for birthdays, holidays, employees, thank-yous and more. Gift certificates are available at the box office during regular box office hours. Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 5:00 pm.

Can I rent the theatre for a private event?

Yes, the theatre is available for rental. Please contact the box office for details.

Can I make a donation to Pit and Balcony Theatre?

Your financial support of our 501 (c) 3 MICS #9028 organization  will be very much appreciated. We have many ways in which you can donate. Please see the information under the Support tab.

Can my business advertise in your program?

There are several advantages to advertising with Pit and Balcony theatre. Your ad in our program is seen by more than 7,000 theatregoers in Saginaw and the GLBR.

In addition to advertising, you can sponsor a show. These options provide unique and beneficial marketing opportunities for your business or organization.

Are you looking for the perfect way to honor a theatre - going loved one? Purchase a brick or star on the Pit & Balcony Walk of Fame in their name!

Bricks - $65

Buy a brick to line the sidewalk Walk of Fame and have your name or message etched into Pit and Balcony Theatre’s history. Purchase a brick in your name, the name of a supporter of the theatre or a loved one. Or, buy one in the names of children or grandchildren, laying the groundwork for younger generations to become part of the history of Pit and Balcony Theatre.
